Priorities: How to Raise and Maintain High Frequencies

We are great at journaling, scripting, and visualizing to raise our frequencies, but how do we continue to raise them and maintain them? How do we achieve this? By situating our priorities. Prioritize what matters, what makes you feel good, and what you enjoy. And de-prioritize what makes you feel worse and drains your energy, particularly that which is considered optional and non-urgent. Setting your priorities is not a random chore to tend to, it is a lifestyle and a lifetime commitment.

De-prioritization

Sometimes in order to distinguish what is a priority you have to decipher what is not. Your emotions ultimately determine and influence how you experience your reality.  De-prioritization is the daily maintenance that keeps your inner emotional space clean. By making experiences that drain you, confuse you, or stress you out an intentional de-priority you are clearing the space, getting rid of any resistance, and kinks in the system. You are also creating boundaries and returning your power back to you.

Only if it's optional

When deciding to energetically demote circumstances or people to a de-priority this can only apply to situations that are considered non-essential or optional. For example, you may want to quit your job, but if you depend on its financial support to survive it’s probably not a good idea to just do so.

Why we “struggle” to de-prioritize?

We are so used to accepting situations that do not suit us. We are taught that suffering and holding on to the struggle is normal. In truth, we are supposed to let the struggles move through us. All of our suffering and struggles are built from fear. In an interview, Gary Zukav explained how fear is meant to move through you. Let it pass through and move on. Only then can real growth and permanent transformation happen.

"Toxic” and other labels

Supposedly, the things we choose to de-prioritize are what we consider to be “toxic.” I can’t wait to write about this ubiquitous word because we slap it on everything and that fascinates me. Set aside any kind of label for the things you de-prioritize.  What matters the most is that you identify and get clear about how you feel relative to that thing. The intent and end goal is to create space between you and the thing to establish energetic peace and freedom—to detach from it so that it no longer afflicts you. Have you ever heard the saying, “distance makes the heart grow fonder?” It can do that—and it can help you determine if you ever truly needed or wanted that thing. De-prioritize, let go of the baggage, and what no longer serves you and the power it has over you will diminish.

Prioritization

Had I known this, I would have chosen to live like this from day one. Happiness is our birthright. It does not have to be earned, merely activated from within. When you decide what you should prioritize in your life, unless you are intentional about immersing yourself in experiences that bring you joy, it cannot and will not be a part of your reality. You have to will it and allow it into existence. Whether it is the music you listen to, the food you eat, the people you surround yourself with, or the work you do, find ways to weave joy and higher vibration emotions into the experience.

Here are examples that work wonders for raising and maintaining my vibration:

Music: Make feel-good playlists that calm you, make you want to dance, or pull you into all the good vibes.

Food: Eat food that your body agrees with. Also, allow yourself to enjoy indulgent foods from time to time. Make sure to un-invite shame to all of your mealtimes.

People: Surround yourself with people that have earned your respect, inspire you, nourish you, enlighten you, and help you have fun. Whether this is through the internet or a person, find a community amongst those whom you feel most like yourself.

Work: Whether it is your career, part-time job, or hobby, do work, create, make, and be apart of things that you are obsessed with, enjoy doing, or feel honored to do. Do it as often as you can.

How you feel about these areas in life is what will continue to keep your candle lit.

Conclusion: What you prioritize and how it makes you feel is can dim or illuminate you

When you have your priorities in order there is no need to slap on labels, instead what takes over your reality is an automatic ability to recognize that which helps you to illuminate and that which dims you. Prioritize the things that bring you joy and de-prioritize the things that drain you. By learning to feed yourself the experiences that multiply the good feelings you multiply them in your reality, become an even more powerful magnet for your desires, and manifest with ease. Then only then are you living a life that you are in agreement with. We are in charge of creating a healthy thriving ecosystem and we do this by surrounding ourselves with a nourishing and abundant quality of life. It starts with something as simple as priorities.
